Mihaela Started playing Piano at the young age of 5 and kept paying intermittently throughout her entire childhood. This helped her develop a good musical year and a keen sense for good music. Later on, she also learned to play the trumpet, a little bit of flute, clarinet and saxophone.
While growing up, her mother was an avid reader, so it's needless to say that singing around the house was not encouraged. That coupled with some inherited limiting beliefs about her ability to sing, resulted in Mihaela never even giving it a try. ( not even in the shower) She grew up watching Michael Jackson, the Backstreet Boys, the Spice Girls, No Doubt, Britney Spears, Madonna and many more and imagining how fun it would be to do the same, but never thinking that she could actually sing. Then in 2006, while competing in an international beauty pageant taking place in Romania where she was representing Canada, something sparked her interest. She had just spent a week around some well known artists and performers and she thought to herself " Maybe I can do it too". That was the beginning. In 2007 Mihaela create a girl band called XOX. The three members all had their own unique characteristics that young girls could relate to. The music was fun and uplifting. The girls went on to create 5 songs, to be featured in magazines, to perform in numerous festivals, events and even a TV Show before they separated in 2009. Mihaela and the second member of the band, Kiki, went on to create 6 more songs before they finally closed the book on XOX in 2010. After the separation of her band and having already reached many of her personal goals she decided to step away from the stage so that she could come back with a new vision and purpose. Having taken the time to re-evaluate her goals and motivations and to create a stable foundation for her success, she is now aiming for the starts. She endeavors to create fun, commercial uplifting music that is positive and that create a positive impact on all those who hear it. Her song “Let me see you dance” clearly reflects that. Call it positive pop, clean music or call it what ever you want, but most likely, you will call it fun ! Her New Single "Let Me See You Dance" is now available on iTunes and the Music Video was released just last week. |
